INFORMATION TO KNOW:

We want to thank our amazing LCA families for stepping up to support our cafeteria needs!  Because of your generosity and quick response, we now have four new microwaves, making lunchtime smoother and more efficient for our students.  We’re so grateful for the way our LCA community comes together to help in practical, meaningful ways - thank you for making a difference!

Open Position - LCA is in search of a temporary administrative office assistant to work 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday-Thursday from June 1 - June 25.  If interested or if you have questions, please email Mr. Smith at dsmith@lcaeagles.com.  This would come with paid training the week prior.

PTO Pizza Lunch Fundraiser – Friday, Feb 6 is PTO pizza day.  Please remember that PTO Pizza must be pre-ordered, and the LCA hot lunch program is NOT available on PTO Pizza days.  If you are available to help, we still have 1 volunteer spot open if you are available to help serve the pizza during lunch.

Heartgrams 2026 - Why not celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Heartgram for your favorite student, teacher, staff member or loved one?  LCA Seniors are selling Heartgrams each morning from Feb 2-13.  They have a variety of stuffed animals, candy, roses, etc.  Items will be delivered on Fri, Feb 13th.  Check out this photo for the selection, and use the linked Heartgram 2026 order form to complete your order.  All proceeds from sales go toward the Senior Missions trip in April.  Thank you for your support!

Science Fair - The Annual LCA Science Fair will be held on Thursday, Feb 12, 2026.  Students are continuing to work on their projects.  Judging will begin at 8:00 am.  Public viewing will be held from 3:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, Feb 13, 2026.

Assistant Track Coach Needed -  We are looking for a volunteer to help with this year’s track team, specifically the throwers.  We need someone who is willing to learn and work with our throwers in shot put, discus, and javelin.  If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact Mr. Smith at dsmith@lcaeagles.com.

Science Fair - The Annual LCA Science Fair will be held on Thursday, Feb 12, 2026.  Students are continuing to work on their projects.  Judging will begin at 8:00 am.  Public viewing will be held from 3:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, Feb 13, 2026.  

Service Hours Opportunity - Our Weightlifting and Conditioning Coach has some gym equipment that needs to be moved.  There are several very heavy pieces of equipment that are currently located in Moscow Mills, MO and need to be moved to the new LCA fitness center.  The date has been changed to TOMORROW, Saturday, 1/17, from 9:00 - 11:30 am.  If you have a truck, trailer, or just some strong muscles, your help moving this equipment into our fitness center would be greatly appreciated.  Please email Mrs. Donaldson at cdonaldson@lcaeagles.com if you are interested in helping out.

Crochet Club - The crochet club is back up and running again!  Please note that we have changed our meeting schedule. We will now meet on the second Monday of every month, starting on Mon. Christmas Program - We hope you can join us this evening for our Annual Christmas Program.  Come hear the angelic voices of our LCA students as they present an original program and listen to the musical talents of our instrumental students.  While you are here, don’t forget to stop & shop with your students at the PTO Christmas Store.  

At the Christmas program, you will be given an opportunity to monetarily say “Thank you” to the LCA staff. We will be taking a love offering for them to show our appreciation for their love and sacrifice to the ministry of LCA. Revival Week 2025 - From Dec 1-5, all secondary students will participate in a Revival each morning from 8:00 - 9:30 am.  Students will be involved in worship, prayer, and hearing God’s word.  The theme of this year’s revival is “Do Unto Others”, and we will utilize 3 guest speakers for the event - Mr. Smith, Mr. Kameron Bagby, and Mr. King.  The River Oaks Church praise band will be doing the music daily.  We ask that you be praying for this special event, and we welcome parents who want to join, listen, and pray with students.  We want this to be a special time at our school where Christ works in an amazing way to inspire the entire school community and to glorify Him.  Click here for more information:  Revival Week 2025

LCA Christmas Store - The PTO is excited to announce that the LCA Christmas Store will be open for students December 2–5.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to shop for meaningful gifts for their family and friends!  We are looking for volunteers each day to help students shop, restock items, and wrap gifts. INFORMATION TO KNOW: 

Open Board Meeting - We will host an open board meeting on Thur, Nov 20, at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria.  Mr. Smith will share the agenda on Weds, Nov 19.  We welcome all families to attend this meeting.  If you have items that you would like to discuss or comment on during the open session, please send those to dsmith@lcaeagles.com by Tues, Nov 18, so that those items can be added to the agenda.  

PTO Fall Fundraiser - The PTO is kicking off our Thompson Farms Fundraiser.  Detailed information and order forms will be coming home with students on Mon, Nov 17.  In order to get the orders sent home with students before Christmas break, the last day to turn in orders will be Mon, Dec 9th.  For more information click here:  Thompson Farms Soups & More

CEF Christmas Party Club - On Fri, Nov 21, LCA High School students will be leading our 2nd-5th grade students in a gospel-centered celebration of Christ by overseeing and hosting a Christmas-themed party.  To prepare for this event, all high school students will be working with representatives from Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) to train for this task.  CEF will be on hand for 4 days during high school Bible classes to conduct this training.  If any student wants to further participate in this work throughout the community after having been trained, they will be able to do so under CEF and can accrue service hours in the process.  Click here for more information:  Christmas Party Club

Revival Week 2025 - From Dec 1-5, all secondary students will participate in a Revival each morning from 8:00 - 9:30 am.  Students will be involved in worship, prayer, and hearing God’s word.  The theme of this year’s revival is “Do Unto Others”, and we will utilize 3 guest speakers for the event - Mr. Smith, Mr. Kameron Bagby, and Mr. King.  The River Oaks Church praise band will be doing the music daily.  We ask that you be praying for this special event, and we welcome parents who want to join, listen, and pray with students.  We want this to be a special time at our school where Christ works in an amazing way to inspire the entire school community and to glorify Him.  Click here for more information:  Revival Week 2025

INFORMATION TO KNOW: 

Spirit Week - Next week, Nov 10-14th, will be Spirit Week.  Everyone is encouraged to participate!  There will be contests and other fun activities going on throughout the week, and the class with the most points at the end of the week will win an ice cream party hosted by the Student Council.  Please see the attached Spirit Week flier for each day’s theme.  On Friday, 11/14, STUCO will be doing face painting before school in Mrs. Groseclose’s art room for $2.

Veterans Day - Our 6-12th graders will be participating in a special Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 11th, at 8:00 am in the high school cafeteria.  We will gather for a morning of music, devotionals, and fellowship as we honor the brave men and women who have served our country.  All are welcome to attend!  We look forward to sharing this meaningful time of reflection and appreciation with you.

Homecoming Activities - The Homecoming Court Coronation will take place at 5:15 PM on Friday, Nov 14, followed by the varsity basketball games.  The Homecoming Activities will take place on Saturday, Nov 15.  Students should meet in the LCA gym at 5:00 PM. Picture Retakes & Sports Pictures - On Thurs, Nov 13, the photographers will be here taking photos for the yearbook. Students should wear LCA unified dress for these photos.  If your child is a new student, or if they did not get a picture taken in August, they will need to have their photo taken.  If they did get photos in August, and you would like a retake, please be sure to return the first set of pictures.  Use order code 0112XGD to order online at Inter-State.com/order.  Photos of the sports teams will start at 2:30 PM.

Meals of Hope Challenge - We are very happy to announce that we exceeded all of our goals with this fundraiser!  We raised over $6,000.  We had a tie for first place between Anna Klee and Sophia Stephens, so they will both get to enjoy a meal with their favorite teacher.  We also packed approximately $21,312 meals to feed the hungry!  The additional money raised will go to benefit our local food pantry.  

Crochet Club - The crochet club will meet on Weds, 11/12 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM.  Supplies needed are a crochet hook and yarn.  Please call the office if you have any questions or if your student would like to join.

  • On Tues 10/21, we will need 4-6 volunteers from 7:20 - 8:00 am to help with intake of projects as students are arriving at school.

  • We also need 4-6 volunteers to help with judging on Tues from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

SYATP – Meet us outside the main entrance of LCA on Wednesday, Sept 24th for the annual See You at the Pole event at 7:20 AM.  Join us as we stand united to pray for our nation, leaders, school and families.

Open Board Meeting - On Thurs Sept 25, we will host our first open board meeting of the 25-26 school year.  We hope to see many families there!  The open meeting will begin at 6:30 PM and will take place in the cafeteria.  If you have questions or comments that you would like to ask/make to the board, please email dsmith@lcaeagles.com before Weds, Sept 24. 

College Fair - On Mon Sept 29, there will be a College Fair at Wright City High School.  Representatives from local, regional, and out-of-state colleges, universities, and trade schools will be available to answer questions about life after high school.  Click here: College Fair Wright City HS for more information or to register your student.

LCA Annual Golf Tournament - Golf tournament preparations are in full swing and we need your help.

Fitness Class for Adults - We’re excited to announce that Carissa Donaldson, our expert Weightlifting and Conditioning Coach, will be leading a new Strength & Conditioning Class in our state-of-the-art fitness center!  Every Weds from 4:00–5:00 PM, the class focuses on functional fitness to boost strength, mobility, and endurance. Open to all teachers and parents, your first class is completely free!  To join, simply RSVP by texting or calling (636) 297-9571.

Noon Dismissal - Wednesday, Sept 3rd is a noon dismissal for all students.  There will be no hot lunch served that day.  Please call the office to let us know if your child will be in after care.

PTO Pizza Lunch Fundraiser – Friday, Sept 5th is PTO pizza day.  Please remember that PTO Pizza must be pre-ordered, and the LCA hot lunch program is NOT available on PTO Pizza days.

Important Health Information - With returning to school and heading towards the fall cold and flu season, this is a friendly reminder of our school's illness policy to help prevent the spread of germs. The goal is to keep all students and staff as healthy as possible throughout the year.

Please keep your child home if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever of 100.4°F or higher

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Persistent cough or significant nasal congestion

  • Sore throat, headache, or body aches

  • Any undiagnosed or widespread rash

Return to school policy:

  • Your child must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

  • They must be free of vomiting and diarrhea for at least 24 hours.

Crochet Club - We’re excited to announce the launch of a Crochet Club at LCA.  It will be open to students in 3rd - 12th grade and staff.  The crochet club will meet on the last Wednesday of each month from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in Mrs. Smith’s room (A6 - 4th grade).  If your student is interested in joining, please contact Jane in the office for more information. 

Texas Roadhouse PTO Fundraiser - The PTO is hosting a Dine to Donate fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in Wentzville on Tuesday, 8/19, from 3:00 - 10:00 PM.  Just present this linked flier and 10% of your dine in or carry out food purchase will be donated to LCA.  We will also have a 50/50 raffle at the door that evening.  Please come out and help support our PTO!

Service Hour Opportunities - We still have a few jobs we are trying to finish before students are in the building.  If you are able and willing to assist, please contact our new Facilities Director, Tyler King, at facilities@lcaeagles.com. 

We also need help sorting and shelving library materials in the new library.  If you would like to volunteer to help with this, please contact Karen Poore at kpoore@lcaeagles.com. 

Last but not least, we have fitness equipment to assemble and organize for the new fitness room.  This is an amazing new addition to LCA, and a great opportunity for our student-athletes to serve by working to help prepare the fitness center.

Middle/High School Finals Schedule -  Click here for a copy of the Finals Schedule for next week.  As has been communicated several times throughout the year, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be full days this week.  The originally scheduled half days were converted to full days to offset for time missed due to inclement Winter weather.  

Field Day - On Thurs. May 29, the elementary teachers have an awesome field day planned! Mr. Smith has approved a free dress down day, and Lilly’s Snow Cones will have free treats for PreK-6th grade students.  Snow cones will also be available to students in 7th-12th grades for $2 each.  

Awards Day Details – The Annual School Awards program will begin at 8:30 AM.  Parents, friends and family are all invited to attend the All School Awards assembly.  Students should be in unified dress on Friday.  School will be dismissed immediately following the awards assembly.  

Summer Sports - Beginning Monday, June 2, our coaches will be holding open gym sessions for volleyball and basketball players in 9th - 12th grades.  The summer gym schedule is posted on the Athletic webpage under the Helpful Links section! You can also click here:  Summer Gym Schedule.

Community Service Hours Opportunity - We have an opportunity for students and families to get some community service hours.  There is an elderly couple who lives North of Jonesburg that is looking for help with some yard work and cleaning out an old shed.  This will require several students and a couple of parent volunteers to supervise.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Gina Nelsen at 636-745-0388.

20th Anniversary Celebration - Join us as we celebrate 20 wonderful years of faith, learning, and community!  The festivities will take place on Sat, June 7, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Get ready for a day full of fun, fellowship, and family-friendly activities, including a bounce house, carnival game, face painting, corn hole, delicious food and great music.  Bring the whole family and help us celebrate this exciting milestone in LCA’s history.  We can’t wait to see you there!

FREE Muny Tickets – Great news! The PTO has once again partnered with The Muny to offer our families access to live Saturday performances through their Community Access Program.  We have 20 tickets available for each of five shows - Bring It On: The Musical, Come From Away, Disney's Frozen, Evita, and Jersey Boys.
