Golf Tournament - Preparations are underway for the Annual LCA Golf Tournament.  This is a fun and easy way to get started on your service hours for next year!  Please contact Ken Dildine at kdildine@lcaeagles.com if you are able to help in any way.

  • If your student needs to complete service hours for the 2025–26 school year, please continue to contact Mr. King at facilities@lcaeagles.com to make arrangements.  We are working on a variety of projects around the school and would appreciate the help.

  • Beginning July 6, we will need assistance moving desks and chairs back into classrooms and helping prepare the campus for the new school year.  

  • Data Entry - A parent volunteer is also needed to help create an inventory of books in the Resource/Curriculum Room.  This project can be completed at your convenience during the summer.  If you are interested in helping with this project, please contact the school office.

The Muny Community Access Tickets - The Muny has blessed LCA with community access tickets for the 2026 season shows.  Find all the details here:  Muny Community Access Tickets

Athletics - 

  • Coaches are currently holding open gym sessions for girls volleyball and boys & girls basketball.  These sessions are open to any student interested in playing middle or high school sports next year.

  • Weekly soccer workouts will start on Thurs, Jun 18, and will be held at the old Wright City High School.  Workouts will start at 6:00 PM and run about 2 hours, depending on weather.  These workouts are for boys and girls in grades 6-12.

Library Books Needed - Looking to declutter over the summer?  We are seeking books in good condition that are appropriate for students in Pre-K through 12th grade and do not contain objectionable or inappropriate content. Donations may be arranged by appointment throughout the summer.  For questions or to schedule a drop-off time, please contact Karen Poore at kpoore@lcaeagles.com.

  • A parent volunteer is also needed to help create an inventory of books in the Resource/Curriculum Room.  This project can be completed at your convenience during the summer — during the day, after dropping students off at sports camp, or whenever your schedule allows.  You would simply count books and enter the information into a Google Sheets document.  If you are interested in helping with this project, please contact the school office.

Athletics - Summer open gym sessions begin on Monday, 6/1, and are open to any students interested in playing middle or high school sports next year.  Below are the practice times:  

  • Monday 4:30 - 6:00 PM - Girls Volleyball - grades 6-12

  • Monday 6:30 - 8:30 PM - Boys Basketball - grades 9-12

  • Tuesday 5:00 - 7:00 PM - Girls Basketball - grades 9-12

  • Thursday 4:00 - 6:00 PM - Boys & Girls Basketball - grades 6-8

As the summer break begins, we hope your family is enjoying some well-deserved time of rest, fun, and relaxation after a wonderful school year.  Summer is a great opportunity to slow down, spend time with loved ones, and recharge for the year ahead.  While the school may be a little quieter over the next couple of months, exciting preparations for the upcoming school year are already underway.

SCCC Regional Workforce Innovation Center Meeting - We will be holding an informational parent meeting on April 27th at 6:00 PM.  This meeting will provide an opportunity to learn more about the St. Charles Community College RWIC program and how it can benefit your high school student’s academic and career goals.  A representative from St. Charles Community College will be present to explain program details, expectations, etc.  This is a great opportunity to gather important information and connect directly with a college representative as your student plans for their future.

Service Hours Opportunities - If you’re looking to complete your service hours before the school year ends, we have a couple of opportunities to do just that on Sat, 5/2, and Thurs, 5/7.  These are open to both parents and students. Standardized Testing
– When we return to school on Tues, Apr 7, all grades will be doing standardized testing (Iowa Testing, PreACT, ACT).  It is important that students get a good night’s sleep the night before and eat a healthy breakfast on Tuesday.  We also ask that you try to avoid absences, late arrivals, and early dismissals on Tuesday.  Please make sure your student has a couple of #2 pencils that day.

Mrs. Jaeger’s Retirement - Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Jami Jaeger on her retirement from LCA at the end of this school year. Mrs. Jaeger has been with us since 2018, and her impact on our students and families is immeasurable. We thank her for her years of dedicated service and wish her the very best.

Spirit Wear - The online store will open on Mon, 3/9, and will remain open through 3/28.  Click here to order Spirit Wear Order.  Orders will be received approximately 2 weeks after the sale closes and will be distributed at school.  Please call Mike with Admark at 636-887-4870 with any questions.

Crochet Club - The crochet club will meet on Mon, Mar 9, from 3:00 - 4:00 PM.  Supplies needed are a crochet hook and yarn.  Please call the office if you have any questions or if your student would like to join. 

Open Position - Liberty Christian Academy is seeking an Athletic Director for the 2026-27 school year.  This is a full salaried position that may include a part-time teaching assignment.  The position will oversee all aspects of the LCA Athletics Department.  For questions or to express interest in the position, please reach out to Doug Smith at dsmith@lcaeagles.com

Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser - On Tues, Mar 10, the PTO will be sponsoring a Dine to Donate fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in Wentzville.  If you are planning to eat out that evening, or you’re just looking for a reason to get Texas Roadhouse, please let them know you are supporting LCA and we will receive a portion of the sales.  This applies to Curbside To Go orders also, just be sure to let them know when you place the order. 

Trivia Night - The Senior Class of 2026 is hosting a St. Patrick's Day themed trivia night on Saturday, March 14th starting at 6:00 PM.  Mark your calendars and rally your trivia buddies for an unforgettable night of fun!  Proceeds will benefit the Senior Missions trip.  2026 Trivia Night

Noon Dismissal - Wednesday, March 4th is a noon dismissal for all students.  There will be no hot lunch served that day.  Please call the office to let us know if your child will be in after care. 

PTO Pizza Lunch Fundraiser – Friday, March 6 is PTO pizza day.  Please remember that PTO Pizza must be pre-ordered, and the LCA hot lunch program is NOT available on PTO Pizza days.  We still have 2 volunteer spots we need to fill.  If you are available to help serve pizza during lunch, this is a fun way to get some service hours.

Athletics - Girls soccer practices will start next Mon, Mar 2.  Practices will begin after school and go until 5:30 pm on Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fridays.  Practices will be at LCA for the first week, then will move over to the Warrenton Athletic Complex.  Please remind your students to dress appropriately for the weather.  They will be outside and it may be cold!

Track & Field practices will start on Tues, Mar 3.  Practices will run from 3:15 - 5:00 PM.  Students will need comfortable clothes and running shoes.  Once track meets begin, athletes will need a pair of multi-event track spikes.  Practices will start out here at LCA and will move to the old Wright City track.  Please pick your student up at 520 Westwoods Dr. at 5:00 PM.

Taco Your Teacher - Student Council has selected 7 teams, each made up of one staff member and two students, to compete in an exciting fundraising challenge! Taco Your Teacher Teams The team that raises the MOST money (along with the students who donated) will get to participate in dumping nacho ingredients!  The team in 2nd place, and the losing team, will have nacho ingredients dumped on them!  The big nacho dumping will take place on Friday, March 6th!

Athletics - Our Varsity Basketball teams will travel to Joplin next week to compete in the MCSAA State Tournament.  They’ve worked incredibly hard all season, and now it’s time to see that hard work pay off!  Please keep them in your prayers as they travel and compete – pray for safety, strength, focus, and good sportsmanship.  Let’s represent our school with pride and cheer them on all the way to a State Championship!  Go Eagles!

Board/Parent Meeting - On Thurs, Feb 19, LCA will host our Annual Parent Meeting at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria.  An expectation for parents/families, this meeting will provide the opportunity to hear reports concerning many aspects of Liberty Christian Academy, including school finances, athletics, academics, facilities, future plans, and most importantly, Biblical and spiritual growth.  Among other items, the Board will vote to approve the Draft 2026-27 LCA calendar v.4.  The LCA Board will also conduct an open meeting in which numerous items are discussed, some of which will go to a vote.  Please plan to attend.

Heartgrams 2026 - Why not celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Heartgram for your favorite student, teacher, staff member or loved one?  LCA Seniors will be selling Heartgrams each morning through Feb 13.  They have a variety of stuffed animals, candy, roses, etc.  Items will be delivered to classrooms on Fri, Feb 13th.  Check out this photo for the selection, and use the linked Heartgram 2026 order form to complete your order.  All proceeds from sales go toward the Senior Missions trip in April.  Thank you for your support!

Science Fair - The Annual LCA Science Fair will be held on Thursday, Feb 12, 2026.  Students are continuing to work on their projects.  Judging will begin at 8:00 am.  Public viewing will be held from 3:30 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, Feb 13, 2026. 

LCA Valentine Date Night - Our 2026 Senior Class is excited to invite you to our Valentine’s Date Night daycare.  On Sat, Feb 14, from 4-8:00 PM, enjoy a date night out with your Valentine, while your kids enjoy a fun-filled night hosted by our seniors. Assistant Track Coach Needed -  We are looking for a volunteer to help with this year’s track team, specifically the throwers.  We need someone who is willing to learn and work with our throwers in shot put, discus, and javelin.  If you or someone you know may be interested, please contact Mr. Smith at dsmith@lcaeagles.com.

Challenge Conference 2026 - Challenge is the EFCA’s (Evangelical Free Church of America) biennial national gathering for students entering 7th - 12th grade.  Challenge blends aspects of a conference, a mission trip and a camp to offer a transformative environment for your student.  Please see the linked flier for more information.  Challenge Conference 2026

Cafeteria Request - This is just a reminder that things like mac and cheese, ramen, popcorn, etc. need to be pre-cooked before bringing them to school.  The microwaves are intended for warming things up.  Also, if you happen to have a spare countertop microwave hanging around the house, please contact the office.  We could use them.
