INFORMATION TO KNOW

NOON DISMISSAL - Weds, Nov 4th, is a noon dismissal for all students.  Please call the office to let us know if your child will need to go to after care that day.  We will also be packaging meals that afternoon in the gym.  There will be no hot lunch served that day, so please remember to pack a lunch for your child if needed. 

20,000 MEALS OF HOPE CHALLENGE - We are just a few hundred dollars away from our $5,000 goal to provide 20,000 meals through IDES!  Help us finish strong by sharing our fundraiser flyer and donation link.  Any funds raised beyond our goal will benefit our local food pantry!  Join us for Meal Packing Day on Weds, 11/4, following the noon dismissal.  All ages are welcome, and LCA service hours count!  Sign up to serve, and don't forget to preorder lunch for $5 by Friday, October 30.  Let's finish strong and make a difference together! 

PTO Pizza Lunch – Our next PTO Pizza lunch will be on Friday, Nov. 6th.  PTO Pizza must be pre-ordered, and the LCA hot lunch program is NOT available on PTO Pizza days.  The last day to order is Tues, 11/3.

PTO MEETING - There will be a PTO meeting on Tuesday, 10/10 at 6:30 PM in the cafeteria. We encourage you to attend if you would like to get involved, learn more about upcoming events, and support our school community. Your participation makes a difference. We hope to see you there!

VETERANS DAY, NOVEMBER 11 - Honoring Our Veterans - Students have created a special display on the wall in our main hallway to recognize and honor the Veterans in their families.  If your student has a family member who has served, please complete the Veterans Display Form here by Weds, Oct. 28, so we can include these special individuals and recognize their service to our country.

We also have a special Veterans Day assembly planned for our middle and high school students on Weds, Nov 11, beginning at 8:00 am. Donuts and coffee will be served starting at 7:30 AM.  We warmly invite any friends or family members who are Veterans to join us as we recognize and honor them during the assembly.  Please RSVP by using the linked form as early as possible:  Veterans Day Assembly RSVP.  The assembly will be held in the cafeteria for easier accessibility. Guests may park in the rear staff parking area for a more handicap-accessible entrance.  

ATHLETICS - Basketball practices are in full swing.  Our season opener games will take place on Tues, Nov. 10.  Please make sure all required paperwork is turned in prior to that date.  If you have a student playing basketball, please make sure you have the Spond app and are set up in the correct group.  Going forward, ALL team communication will be done on Spond.  If you have any questions or problems, please reach out by phone or email.

GIRLS ON THE RUN - We would love to offer a Girls on the Run program for our elementary girls this spring!  This fun, 8-week program combines physical activity with lessons that build confidence, resilience, and friendship. The spring season begins in March, and with your help, we can bring this wonderful opportunity to our LCA girls!

SOAR INTO READING - Students are currently participating in our exciting new reading incentive program, Soar Into Reading!  Students have the opportunity to read recommended books, complete simple response questions, earn staff recommendation trading cards for individual books, and work towards larger prizes as they complete their reading checklists.

20,000 MEALS OF HOPE CHALLENGE - Liberty Christian Academy is partnering with IDES to provide meals for families in need through their GAP (God Always Provides) program. Our goal is to raise $5,000, which will provide 20,000 meals!  Students, staff, and volunteers will join forces on Wednesday, Nov. 4, to pack the meals at LCA.  Students are encouraged to share the flyer with their family, friends, and neighbors to join in the effort.  The student who helps provide the most meals will enjoy a meal with their favorite teacher or staff member. PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES - Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held Tues, 10/20, from 4:00–7:30 pm, and Weds, Oct 21, from 8:30 am–12:00 pm.  There is no school for students on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

• Secondary conferences will be held in the cafeteria in an open, cafeteria-style format.  Parents may come anytime during the designated conference hours to meet with teachers.

SERVICE HOURS REMINDER - As we approach the end of first quarter, this is a friendly reminder of the required service hours for the school year.  

• Family Service Hours: 20 hours per family, per school year.

• Grades 9–12: 20 hours per student, per school year.

• Up to 10 hours may be completed outside of LCA with signed documentation.

• At least 10 hours must be completed at LCA.

• Students may also choose to complete all 20 hours at LCA.

• Grades 6–8: 10 hours per student, per school year.

• Up to 5 hours may be completed outside of LCA with signed documentation.

Fall ACT and WorkKeys - Testing will take place on Weds, 10/14.  Testing will begin during first hour and is expected to conclude by 12:00 pm.  Please encourage your student to get a good night’s sleep, eat a nutritious breakfast, and arrive prepared to do their best.  We also ask that you try to avoid absences, late arrivals, and early dismissals on Wednesday.  Thank you for helping us make testing day run smoothly!

MO Scholars Program - Turn your taxes into scholarships through the Children’s Tuition Fund.  Through the MOScholars program, you can help make Christian education more accessible to students in need while putting your tax dollars to work supporting their education.  Please see the attached flyer for more information on how you can help make a difference!   MOScholars CTF flier 

Annual Fall Title Meeting – Families are invited to attend Wright City West Elementary’s Annual Fall Title Meeting on Weds, 10/14, at 5:00 pm in the West Elementary Library at 100 Wildcat Drive.  This meeting is an opportunity to learn more about Title programs, how they support student learning, and ask any questions you may have.

OPEN POSITION - Liberty Christian Academy is looking for a motivated, articulate, relational, and entrepreneurial individual to join our team as our Director of Donor Development & Scholarship Programs.  

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about Christ, Christian education, and building relationships within our community.  The primary focus of this position is to help generate new revenue for LCA by developing relationships with individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners.  The Director will play a key role in helping LCA maximize opportunities through the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit Program, while also pursuing grants, cultivating donors, and serving as an ambassador for LCA.

LCA ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT - A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported the LCA Golf Tournament!  Whether you played, sponsored, donated, volunteered, or helped spread the word, we are so grateful for your generosity and support.  Thanks to you, we raised $14,000 to support tuition assistance and other operational needs at LCA!  We couldn’t have done it without our amazing LCA family and community. Thank you for making this event such a success and for investing in our students!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – Wright City Fire Corps Pancake Breakfast - The Wright City Fire Corps is looking for 4–5 high school student volunteers to help with their annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Wright City Firehouse, 396 W. 2nd Street N. 

Volunteers will need to arrive at 7:00 AM and will assist with greeting guests, serving food and beverages, and wiping down tables. Students will have an opportunity to eat breakfast during the morning, and the event ends at 11:00 AM. Those who are able to stay an additional 30–45 minutes can also help with cleanup. The 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade teams will practice together on Wednesdays after school until 4:30 PM, along with some Saturday morning practices.  Practice times will be solidified and communicated directly to players soon. 

Parents are asked to volunteer for 2 time slots at the home games.  These volunteer shifts can include the admission gate, concession stand, or gym cleanup.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – Wright City Fire Corps Pancake Breakfast - The Wright City Fire Corps is looking for 4–5 high school student volunteers to help with their annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Wright City Firehouse, 396 W. 2nd Street N. 

Volunteers will need to arrive at 7:00 AM and will assist with greeting guests, serving food and beverages, and wiping down tables. Students will have an opportunity to eat breakfast during the morning, and the event ends at 11:00 AM. Those who are able to stay an additional 30–45 minutes can also help with cleanup. SERVICE HOURS OPPORTUNITY - SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE BED BUILD
We have a great opportunity for service-hours coming up on Saturday, Sept. 12, right here in our community!  Sleep in Heavenly Peace will be hosting a bed-building event in the parking lot at The Way Church in Wentzville.  This is a fun, family-friendly opportunity to serve together while helping provide beds for children in need.  No experience is necessary, and students, parents, and families are all welcome to participate. The Wentzville chapter is led by Ken Kaibel, who can be reached at 636-295-6188 for more information or to coordinate participation.  The event is a wonderful way to earn service hours while making a tangible difference in the lives of local children.  Please contact the school office for a “Community Service Hours” form if you decide to participate.

REMINDER - Drop-off & Pick-Up Procedures - To ensure a safe and efficient traffic flow, the front driveway operates as one-way only during drop-off and pick-up.  Enter via the church’s lower parking lot and drive between the church and LCA. 

• At drop-off - Staff will help children exit vehicles.  Please pull forward to the orange cones so that several vehicles can drop off at the same time.  Do not pass stopped vehicles.  If you must exit your car or enter the building, please park in the church’s upper parking lot.  

• For pick-up, elementary parents form two lines in the lower lot (left lane to turn left, or right lane to turn right out of the lot).  As you proceed up the hill, please stay in your vehicle, stay alert, and move forward with the cars in front of you.  A teacher or staff member will safely bring your child to your vehicle.  Remain in your vehicle as staff brings students to you - exit only after the child arrives if needed.

• Middle/high school-only pickups use the staff parking lot on the west side of the building.

• Elementary Computers - these courses are taught only in the afternoons at LCA.  Hours would be Noon - 3:00 p.m. 

• Aftercare - Hours would be 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

STUDENT DRIVERS – If your student will be driving to school, please ask them to stop by the office next week to provide information about the vehicle they will be driving. If you prefer, you can also click HERE to provide the information online.  This information is needed in case of an emergency or if we need to have a vehicle moved, notify a student that their lights have been left on, or address another vehicle-related situation. INFORMATION TO KNOW:

MEET & GREET - We will host our Annual Meet & Greet Open House on Tues, Aug 11, from 5:00–7:00 PM. Families are invited to find their classrooms, meet their teachers, drop off school supplies, visit the tables in the gym, find and decorate lockers, and get ready for the new school year.

The Biblical Missions class will also be holding their first fundraiser of the year to help support their mission trip this spring. They will be selling BBQ chicken and pork dinner plates for $8, which will include chips, a dessert, and a drink. Come hungry and help support our students as they prepare to serve others!

The school nurse will also be at the Meet & Greet on Tuesday. If your child has medication that needs to be kept at school, please bring it that evening and drop it off with the nurse.

Service Hours Opportunities -

• If you need to complete service hours for the 2025–26 school year, or want to get a jump start on 2026-27, we will be working on a variety of projects around the school throughout the summer and would appreciate the help.  Projects may include painting, flooring, and other campus improvement tasks.  Beginning around July 6, we will also need assistance moving desks and chairs back into classrooms and helping prepare the campus for the new school year.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Tyler King at facilities@lcaeagles.com to make arrangements.

• A parent volunteer is also needed to help create an inventory of books in the Resource/Curriculum Room.  This project can be completed at your convenience during the summer — during the day, after dropping students off at sports camp, or whenever your schedule allows.  You would simply count books and enter the information into a Google Sheets document.  If you are interested in helping with this project, please contact the school office.

As the summer break begins, we hope your family is enjoying some well-deserved time of rest, fun, and relaxation after a wonderful school year.  Summer is a great opportunity to slow down, spend time with loved ones, and recharge for the year ahead.  While the school may be a little quieter over the next couple of months, exciting preparations for the upcoming school year are already underway. 

We hope that your summer is filled with joy, safe travels, meaningful memories, and plenty of time to enjoy God’s many blessings.

INFORMATION TO KNOW:

As you are cleaning out backpacks, and sports bags for the summer, if you happen across any items marked LCA on the tag, we kindly ask that you return them to the school nurse at your earliest convenience.  Thank you for helping us keep track of school belongings and ensuring they are available for students next year!

Student Athletic Training - If your student-athlete is looking for a great way to stay active and in shape over the summer, athletic training will be offered during June and July through Donaldson Fitness!  Training sessions will take place in the LCA fitness room on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  MS/HS girls will train from 10:30–11:30 am, and MS/HS boys from 11:30 am–12:30 pm.  The cost is $50 for the full 8-week session. Please complete the Student Athletic Training Registration form to register your student. 

TeacherEase Unavailable - TeacherEase is temporarily unavailable as teachers finalize student scores and grades for the school year.  We will send out a notification as soon as the system is reopened and ready for access.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we complete this important process.

Service Hours Opportunities - Do you need to complete service hours for the 2025–26 school year, or want to get a head start on earning hours for 2026–27?  We will be working on a variety of projects around the school throughout the summer and would appreciate your help.  Opportunities may include painting, flooring projects, basic data entry, and other campus improvement tasks.  Beginning around July 6, we will also need assistance moving desks and chairs back into classrooms and helping prepare the campus for the new school year.  If you are interested in helping, please contact Tyler King at facilities@lcaeagles.com to make arrangements.

Library Books Needed - Looking to declutter over the summer? The LCA Library would love to accept your book donations.  We are seeking books in good condition that are appropriate for students in Pre-K through 12th grade and do not contain objectionable or inappropriate content. The library will be open for donations during the week of May 18–22, or donations may be arranged by appointment throughout the summer. For questions or to schedule a drop-off time, please contact Karen Poore at kpoore@lcaeagles.com.

The Muny Community Access Tickets - The Muny has generously provided LCA students, teachers, and families with 104 tickets to the 2026 Season!  Check out this year’s lineup and sign up for tickets here: Muny Community Access Tickets

Athletics - Summer practices for JV and varsity girls volleyball, and boys and girls basketball, will begin on Monday, 6/1/26.  These open gym sessions are available to any students interested in playing next year. Bus Driver Needed - LCA Athletics is looking for a volunteer bus driver for the upcoming school year!  Requirements are: a valid Class B CDL, with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.  Also requires an Air Brakes endorsement.  All volunteers must pass a background check.  If you or someone you know would be a good fit, we’d love to connect!  Contact us at lcaathletics@lcaeagles.com to learn more.
