INFORMATION TO KNOW: 

Noon Dismissal - Tues, 10/21 is a noon dismissal for all students.  There will be no aftercare that day as our staff will be in Parent Teacher Conferences.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Bible Fair – LCA’s Annual Bible Fair will take place on Oct 21st & 22nd. Please click on the linked brochure for more info. Bible Fair Brochure   Volunteers are needed to help with set-up and judging.  

  • On Tues 10/21, we will need 4-6 volunteers from 7:20 - 8:00 am to help with intake of projects as students are arriving at school.

  • We also need 4-6 volunteers to help with judging on Tues from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.  

Please contact Mrs. Jaeger at jjaeger@lcaeagles.com if you can help.  You will earn service hours for helping.  Thank you in advance for your help! 

20,000 Meals of Hope Challenge - Liberty Christian Academy has partnered with IDES to provide meals for families in need through their GAP (God Always Provides) program. Together we’re hoping to raise $5,000 which will provide 20,000 meals.  Students, staff, and volunteers will join forces to pack the meals at LCA.  Students are encouraged to share the flyer with their family, friends, and neighbors to join in the effort.  The student who helps provide the most meals will enjoy a meal with their favorite teacher or staff member. Athletics - Next week, our Varsity Soccer and Volleyball teams will be traveling to Joplin, MO to compete in the MCSAA State Championship.  We are proud of our student-athletes and all the hard work they've put in this season.  Please join us in praying for a safe, successful, and enjoyable trip for our teams, coaches, and families. 

Cheerleading practice will be on Monday 10/20 from 3:15 - 4:30 pm since there is no school on Weds.

INFORMATION TO KNOW: 

Crochet Club - The crochet club will meet on Tues, 10/7 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM.  Supplies needed are a crochet hook and yarn.  Please call the office if you have any questions or if your student would like to join. 

PTO Meetings - The LCA PTO meets on the second Tuesday of each month, and we would love for you to join us.  The next meeting will be on Oct.14th, at 6:30 pm.   We hope to see you there!

ACT Exams & WorkKeys Assessments - This year, students will have the option to take either the ACT or the WorkKeys assessment.  The ACT is a college admissions test that measures academic readiness for college.  WorkKeys is a career readiness assessment that measures practical skills needed for success in the workplace. Contact Ms. Queen with any questions.

Open to all teachers and parents, your first class is completely free!  To join, simply RSVP by texting or calling (636) 297-9571.  

Athletics - Next week is the Metro Athletic Conference (MAC) Tournament!  The first game is a soccer game on Monday, 10/6, at 5:00 PM.  Be on the lookout for more detailed information about the MAC tournament.

Open Board Meeting - On Thurs Sept 25, we will host our first open board meeting of the 25-26 school year.  We hope to see many families there!  The open meeting will begin at 6:30 PM and will take place in the cafeteria.  If you have questions or comments that you would like to ask/make to the board, please email dsmith@lcaeagles.com before Weds, Sept 24.

Important Health Information - With returning to school and heading towards the fall cold and flu season, this is a friendly reminder of our school's illness policy to help prevent the spread of germs. The goal is to keep all students and staff as healthy as possible throughout the year.

Please keep your child home if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever of 100.4°F or higher

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Persistent cough or significant nasal congestion

  • Sore throat, headache, or body aches

  • Any undiagnosed or widespread rash

Return to school policy:

  • Your child must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

  • They must be free of vomiting and diarrhea for at least 24 hours. 

Yearbooks - We still have a few 2024-25 yearbooks available for purchase.  The cost is $55 each.  If you would like one of these yearbooks, please contact the office.

21 Days of Prayer - It’s not too late to join us for 21 Days of Prayer, happening now through August 23, and we’d LOVE to see you there! This is a powerful time to come together and seek God as we begin the school year.  We are meeting in the cafeteria on Monday - Friday from 6 - 7:00 AM, and on Saturdays from 9 - 10:00 AM.  If you can’t attend in person, you can livestream from home, watch on demand, and explore great prayer resources at:  21 Days of Prayer.

Crochet Club - We’re excited to announce the launch of a Crochet Club at LCA.  It will be open to students in 3rd - 12th grade and staff.  The crochet club will meet on the last Wednesday of each month from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in Mrs. Smith’s room (A6 - 4th grade).  If your student is interested in joining, please contact Jane in the office for more information. 

Texas Roadhouse PTO Fundraiser - The PTO is hosting a Dine to Donate fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse in Wentzville on Tuesday, 8/19, from 3:00 - 10:00 PM.  Just present this linked flier and 10% of your dine in or carry out food purchase will be donated to LCA.  We will also have a 50/50 raffle at the door that evening.  Please come out and help support our PTO!

Meet & Greet - We will host our Annual Meet & Greet Open House event on Tues, Aug. 12.  Doors will open at 5:00 PM and we will end the evening at 7:00 PM.  During this time families can find their classrooms, meet the teacher and drop off supplies, visit the tables in the gym, find and decorate lockers, etc.  Please be sure to stop by and check out the new library!  Seniors will have their first fundraiser of the year for their mission trip in the Spring.  They will be offering BBQ dinner plates for sale in the cafeteria.

21 Days of Prayer continues - Join us for 21 Days of Prayer from August 4-23.  We are meeting in the cafeteria on Monday - Friday from 6 - 7:00 AM, and on Saturdays from 9 - 10:00 AM.  If you can’t attend in person, you can livestream from home, watch on demand, and explore great prayer resources at:  21 Days of Prayer.

Crochet Club - We’re excited to announce the launch of a Crochet Club at LCA.  It will be open to students in 3rd - 12th grade and staff.  This will be a fun and welcoming space for anyone interested in the art of crocheting!  Whether you're a seasoned pro or have never picked up a hook, you're welcome to join.  Beginners can learn from experienced members, and experienced crocheters can share their skills, techniques, patterns, and creativity.  The crochet club will meet on the last Wednesday of each month from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in Mrs. Smith’s room (A6 - 4th grade).  If your student is interested in joining, please contact Jane in the office for more information. 

Service Hour Opportunities - We still have a few jobs we are trying to finish before students are in the building.  If you are able and willing to assist, please contact our new Facilities Director, Tyler King, at facilities@lcaeagles.com. 

We also need help sorting and shelving library materials in the new library.  If you would like to volunteer to help with this, please contact Karen Poore at kpoore@lcaeagles.com. 

Last but not least, we have fitness equipment to assemble and organize for the new fitness room.  This is an amazing new addition to LCA, and a great opportunity for our student-athletes to serve by working to help prepare the fitness center.

Middle/High School Finals Schedule -  Click here for a copy of the Finals Schedule for next week.  As has been communicated several times throughout the year, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be full days this week.  The originally scheduled half days were converted to full days to offset for time missed due to inclement Winter weather.  

Field Day - On Thurs. May 29, the elementary teachers have an awesome field day planned! Mr. Smith has approved a free dress down day, and Lilly’s Snow Cones will have free treats for PreK-6th grade students.  Snow cones will also be available to students in 7th-12th grades for $2 each.  

Awards Day Details – The Annual School Awards program will begin at 8:30 AM.  Parents, friends and family are all invited to attend the All School Awards assembly.  Students should be in unified dress on Friday.  School will be dismissed immediately following the awards assembly.

Community Service Hours Opportunity - We have an opportunity for students and families to get some community service hours.  There is an elderly couple who lives North of Jonesburg that is looking for help with some yard work and cleaning out an old shed.  This will require several students and a couple of parent volunteers to supervise.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Gina Nelsen at 636-745-0388.

The PTO has once again partnered with The Muny to offer our families access to live Saturday performances through their Community Access Program.  We have 20 tickets available for each of five shows - Bring It On: The Musical, Come From Away, Disney's Frozen, Evita, and Jersey Boys. Service Hours Opportunity - We have an opportunity for students and families to get some community service hours on Sat, 4/26.  We will be working at Highway 61 Trailer, 1857 W. Outer Hwy 61, Moscow Mills, MO  63362, partnering with International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES) to help with packaging  nutritious meals for the hungry.  IDES will distribute the meals to help feed the hungry and spread the gospel.  Feel free to join us even if you don’t need service hours, but just want to help.  We will be taking the LCA vans.  We will meet at LCA at 1:15 and leave at 1:30 PM.  Here is a link to sign up:  Community Service Hours

Standardized Testing – 3rd - 6th grade testing has been going on this week and will continue through next Weds, April 16.  Please try to avoid absences, late arrivals, and early dismissals when your student is testing.

Dinner Auction Results - We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Dinner Auction was our most successful yet!  With a remarkable increase of $4,000 compared to last year, we raised over $69,000 in total.  This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our donors, the enthusiastic support of our attendees, and the dedicated efforts of our auction committee.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to this event and helped support our mission of partnering with families to produce Godly young people who consistently make the right choices and impact their world for Jesus. We are truly blessed!

Community Service Opportunity - Students who need to complete service hours for this year may volunteer at Missions Thrift Store, 25 Meadow Cir. Dr., Lake St. Louis, MO  63367.  Students are encouraged to fill out a volunteer form online before coming.  https://www.missionsthriftstore.org/volunteers/ Then just show up and sign in to volunteer.  Please wear closed toe shoes, and check in with the front desk to find out where you can help.  Students under 16 years old will need supervision.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Vickie Herndon at school.

Their Earth Day Celebration will be on Sat., Apr. 26, from 9:00 am to Noon, and they need helpers.  Anyone/everyone can help, but they would love to have a few high school boys to help with digging, etc.  For more information, please see the linked flier.  Earth Day Celebration

Noon Dismissal - Wednesday, Apr 2nd is a noon dismissal for all students.  There will be no hot lunch served that day.  Please call the office to let us know if your child will be in after care.
