INFORMATION TO KNOW:

Board Openings – There are several open board positions for the 2018-19 school year.  If interested, please see Mrs. Wilgus for more information.

Re-enrollment—Re-enrollment has begun!  Log in to teacherease.com to begin the process.  Please return the paperwork and enrollment fees to the office by February 28th to receive a discount and to ensure your student’s space in the class.

Families planning on applying for Flexible Tuition for the 2018-19 school year will need to complete the re-enrollment packet, in addition to FACTS and the FT paperwork, by February 28th in order to maintain their priority status.

MAC All-Star Conference – Congratulations to Andrew Voss and Andrea Mueller for making 1st Team All-Conference and to Logan Hart and Adison Roden for making 2nd Team All-Conference.

Auction – Attached is a flyer and solicitation packet for our Annual Auction which helps support our flexible tuition program.  Parents, we NEED your help to make this fundraiser the best yet!  Thank you in advance for your help!

Class Baskets – PTO sent out an email on Thursday requesting donations for class baskets.  We need ALL parents to participate so that this fundraiser is a HUGE success!!

Skeet Club – There has been some interest in starting a skeet club.  We are in need of a coach/leader.  If you or know someone who would be interested in coaching, please contact the office.

Congratulations to our teachers Mrs. Colbert and Mr. Spencer for winning the local post level and Region 9 levels of the VFW Teacher of the Year. We appreciate both of you!

Lost and Found – Our Lost and Found is overflowing with coats and other clothing.  If your child is missing some clothes, please check the Lost and Found located in the office.

Supplies Needed – We are running very low on hand sanitizer, tissues, and disinfectant wipes.  We would greatly appreciate any donations of these three items.

Box Top Winners – Congratulations to the following students for bringing in the most Box Tops for their class: Brinley Kayser, Emerson Carlisle, Miles Matz, Michael Vaclavik, Megan Pierson, and Lauren Moss.  First grade is in the lead with the most Box Tops.

Work Day-We will be having a Work Day TOMORROW, Saturday, February 3rd from 8:00 AM- 2:00 PM. We will be cleaning out the north building in preparation for its demolition and construction of our new facility. This is a great way to get your service hours completed at one time.

There are items for all ages, and students can buy for their siblings, parents, family members, friends or even themselves.  Items will cost between $.50 - $4.00.

LCA Outreach Club – Our 8th – 12th Grade Outreach Club is asking for your help to help Sydney, a local girl fighting cancer, with her bucket list of collecting toys for children at Cardinals Kids Cancer Center and Mercy Hospital.  Please bring your unwrapped toy or activity to school by December 15th.  Thank you for helping this bucket list become a reality.

Board Meeting Update: Thanks to all who came to the meeting last night as Butch Clark shared the vision for the future of LCA. The decision was made to move forward with the building of a new addition to the school. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Everyone has an opportunity to get involved and catch the vision for the future by attending the next Building Committee meeting this Monday, November 6th at 6:30 PM. See you there.

Gun Raffle – Our athletic department is selling gun raffle tickets for $10.  Gun options are a Glock 19 Gen 4, Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II, or Ruger GP100.  If you are interested in purchasing a raffle ticket, contact the office.

Lost and Found – The Lost and Found table will be available through Monday afternoon.  It is located to the left of the gym.  There are a few LCA hoodies and zip-up jackets that are Child size S.  Please stop by to claim your lost items.

ELEMENTARY TALENT SHOW
Elementary Talent Show will also be held on Tuesday, the 23rd, starting at 2:00 PM. Elementary students interested in participating need to have their performance approved on Tuesday, May 10th after school.  Sign-up sheet is across from the office.

Service Hours – We are in need of parents to help clean up after the Christmas Program. Please contact Mrs. Schloeman if you are able to help.  This is a great way to earn Service Hours.

Food Drive – We are again partnering with the Wright City Firefighters to collect food for area needy families.  The class that brings in the most non-perishable or canned goods will receive a pizza party and dodgeball game with the firefighters.  Food will be collected until THIS Friday, the 18th.
