DINNER AUCTION
Saturday, March 5th-It’s that time of the year again. Tickets are on sale for $30 for the annual dinner auction. THE LAST DAY TO ORDER TICKETS IS NEXT WEDNESDAY, the 2nd!!  Dinner menu will be pulled pork, salad, cheese potatoes, green beans, a roll and cheesecake for dessert.  Hors d’oeuvres will also be served. Invite your family and friends!  Flyers are available to be placed in businesses, your church, etc.  Remember that all money raised goes toward closing the gap in the school budget.

We are still in need for items to be auctioned!  Please contact businesses that you frequent.  Gift certificates, baskets of their products, etc. are items that can be donated.  Attached is a FORM to take to businesses when asking for donations.

ADOPT-A-SHELF
Thank you to Mrs. Rebecca Bauer for bringing life to our library.  She has spent many hours sorting and organizing.  We still need to purchase 7 shelves for the library; however, the shelves cost $80 a piece.  We are looking for individuals to Adopt-a-Shelf so that we can have new, matching shelves in the library.  If you are able to help with this project, please reply to this email or call the office.

KITCHEN
We are in need of someone to help our wonderful cook, Mrs. Vaclavik on Mondays.  It does not have to be every Monday.  If interested, please contact the office.

MILITARY
Please pray for the Houberg family (their children are in 6th and 4th grades).  Dad is in the military and left for overseas.

PICK-UP BASKETBALL GAMES
Every Monday for the month of February, there will be an adult (over 18) pick-up basketball game in our gym from 7:45-8:45 PM.  It is a time for exercise and fellowship.  Sorry, but no children allowed.

BUS DRIVER
We are in need of drivers, who have a CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsement, for our athletic department and school events.  If you have that license or would be willing to obtain one, please contact the office.

TRACK TEAM
We are looking for someone who would be interested in coaching a boys/girls track team.  If you are interested, contact the school office or Coach Clark.

DID YOU HEAR THE GOOD NEWS?
Our Boys’ Basketball Team won 2nd place and our Girls’ Team won 3rd place at the state championship game.  Andrew Voss made 2nd Team All-State.  Brendan Dickson, Jake Pietzman, and Mati Voss made 1st Team All-State.  We are so proud of our athletes!

STUDENTS OF DISTINCTION
Congratulations Addie Fox and Avery Dickson for making the Missouri Girls State Program! Since the inception of the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State  in 1937, young people have had the opportunity to learn first-hand how their state and local government works in a nonpartisan program that teaches young women responsible citizenship and love for God and Country. High school girls, who have completed their Junior year, spend an intensive week of study, working together as self-governing citizens. In most cases, expenses associated with attending this program are paid by a sponsoring American Legion Post, a local business or another community-based organization. Participants learn how to participate in the functioning of their state's government in preparation for their future roles as responsible adult citizens. Two girls are selected from each Girls State program to attend Girls Nation, a national government training program. Girls Nation "senators" meet for a week in Washington, D.C., where they run for political office, campaign for the passage of legislation and possibly meet with state Representatives and Senators. Capping off the week of Girls Nation is oftentimes a meeting with the President of the United States at the White House.
