School Supply List – Please use the School Supply List that is on our LCAeagles.com website.  The list on Wal-Mart is not complete.
 
Work Days - Start your annual service hours early. We have several work days scheduled before the start of school. We need everyone’s help to be ready for the new year. If you can’t make one of the scheduled days, but would like to help, please contact the school office for additional opportunities/needs.  THANK YOU to all those who have already helped over the summer—it has been greatly appreciated.
 
Openings – We have a part-time math position open for next year.  Please contact the office for more information. Our parents are our best advertisers.
 
Meet & Greet - We look forward to seeing all our new and returning families this Monday, August 14th at 6:30 PM. New updates, the vision of LCA and other important information will be shared. Pick up your Spirit Wear, meet the teachers and make new friends. See you there.
 
Golf Tournament – It is not too early to start planning for our fall Golf Tournament to be held on September 30th.  A flyer is attached to help spread the word!
 
7th - 12th Grade Retreat - We again will be going to High Hill Christian Camp. The students will leave in the morning and be back for the Back to School Ice Cream Social. More information will be given at Meet & Greet.

ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY
Elementary Field Day
will be Tuesday, May 23rd from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. We are in need of parent volunteers.  Please reply to this email if you can help.

ELEMENTARY TALENT SHOW
Elementary Talent Show will also be held on Tuesday, the 23rd, starting at 2:00 PM. Elementary students interested in participating need to have their performance approved on Tuesday, May 10th after school.  Sign-up sheet is across from the office.

Service Hours – We are in need of parents to help clean up after the Christmas Program. Please contact Mrs. Schloeman if you are able to help.  This is a great way to earn Service Hours.

18 NORTH CENTRAL – 30 minutes of laser tag and 30 minutes of cybersports can be yours for only $15!  The Girls Basketball Team is selling tickets to raise money for new uniforms.  The event will be held Thursday, September 29th from 5 PM – 9 PM for anyone in grades 7 and up (Parents may play, too).  Contact a Girls Basketball Player or the office for more information or to purchase your ticket.  We receive 100 percent profit of the ticket purchase and 18 North Central will receive profits from their concession area so come hungry!

GRANDPARENT'S DAY – Grandparents (or a special family friend (please no parents or siblings) if grandparents are not able to attend) are invited to attend Chapel with their PreK-6th grade grandchild.  Your child’s teacher has more information. After Chapel, the student can shop with his/her visitor at the annual Book Fair.

CEF PARTY CLUB – Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is hosting a Party Club after school on Thursday, September 15th for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Please see the attached forms for more information and to register your child.  Form is due by Tuesday, the 13th.

INFORMATION TO KNOW:
OPENINGS – We have an immediate opening for a Secondary Science/Math position open. If you or know someone who is interested in either of these positions, please contact Mrs. Wilgus.
 
SAVE THE DATE – The Annual Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, October 8th.  See the attached flyer for more info.  WE NEED YOU TO MAKE THIS EVENT A SUCCESS!!
 
JACKETS – Jackets may be worn in class, but they need to have the LCA logo.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Wilgus.
 
FRIDAY AHED DRESS – On Fridays, students can pay $1 to “dress down.” The money goes to the Senior Missions Trip fund. Jeans, athletic shorts, sweat pants, dresses, skirts may be worn provided they meet the knee-length requirement. Garments with “holes”, yoga pants, tight-fitting clothes, tank tops, spaghetti straps are not allowed.
 
GRANDPARENT'S DAY – Grandparents (or a special family friend (please not parents or siblings) if grandparents are not able to attend) are invited to attend Chapel with their PreK-6th grade grandchild.  Your child’s teacher has more information. Afterwards, the student can shop with his/her visitor at the annual Book Fair.
 
CEF PARTY CLUB – Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is hosting a Party Club after school on Thursday, September 15th for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Please see the attached forms for more information and to sign-up your child.  
 
GIRLS BASKETBALL – Calling all girls in 5th -12th grades: there will be an informational meeting on Thursday, September 8th, at 5 PM.  If you are interested in playing, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you attend.  If you are unable to attend, please reply to this email.

CURRICULA NIGHT DATE CHANGE – The Curricula Night for 7th – 12th Grade has been changed to Monday, August 29th.  This is a required event for 7th – 12th Grade Parents.

SOCCER – Soccer starts on Monday!!  Signups for LCA Soccer are open. Practices and Games will run from late August to Mid- October. We will have teams for PK - 7th grades. UNIFIED DRESS CODE REMINDER – Per our handbook, skirts and shorts must come to the knee.  Please check your student’s skirts and shorts to be sure they are in dress code.  The only exception is gym shorts for PE that may be 3 inches above the knee.
